Deep into the Woods- Amber Ring

Far from the campsite I venture from the path and into the woods. I come to a clearing, the trees are circling me. I look up at the sky. Its pitch black and full of stars. I lay on the ground and stare into the sky as the leaves fall down around me. I am happy here.

This ring was inspired by most recent visit to Maine as an Eco-camp Counselor. Maine is a place I feel strongly connected to. On my last visit we all took a trip to Baxter State Park and camped out and did some white water rafting. It felt so good to be so far from everything, including cell phone service. The weather was perfect as always- like the beginning of autumn.

This ring was built of sterling silver. Its focal point a large piece of natural amber (25X18MM). The amber is circled by an oval wreath of tiny oak leaves. This ring has a hammered band and is oxidized to bring out details. This ring is a size 7.

Amber is a fossilized and very old organic substance; amber talismans and jewelry have been found in Stone Age archaeological sites. Wear amber to attract warm, loyal, and generous people into your life; or carry amber on your person to lend logic or wit to a difficult situation.
Mixed with turquoise, amber is reminiscent of the sun in the sky. This combination of energies may be used successfully to quiet the mind and calm the nervous system.
